It looks like a regular Pull Tab. The striking difference and advantage of this product is that the top breakaway panel contains a PIN (personal identification number) that contains 2 or 4 minutes of phone time. This makes it a pre-paid phone card, good for one phone call which can be placed from, and directed to anywhere within the US, and can be dialed from any touch-tone phone except from a payphone.

To use the Phone Card part of our Pull Tabs, a toll-free access phone number is printed on the inside or back of the ticket. When dialing this access number, the caller is prompted to enter the PIN found printed in the top breakaway panel or printed inside the ticket. On average, a 2 minute call is usually enough to leave a voice-message or even have a quick exchange, so this then certainly becomes a useful and usable product.

In addition, our pull tab is a sweepstakes item, and phone time is a service-product that adequately meets Federal Sweepstakes law requirements. Each ticket contains a game piece, which is pulled back to see if the purchaser wins cash from the sweepstakes game. This feature and promotion keeps customers buying more and more. One other requirement is that anyone can play this sweepstake item without having to purchase it, and we fulfill that requirement on all of our phone card products, making it “NOT” a lottery product but a Sweepstakes.

Note however that there is a different view and position taken when pull tabs are sold out of a device that appears and acts like a slot machine. The safeguard then, is to follow federal sweepstakes laws and dispense from a simple vending machine or an acrylic dispenser. These are the two ways our tickets are sold.
